The main responsibility for a Project Engineer through personal effort and the management of others is to provide leadership and direction to the production technical team.

For this he has the following key responsibilities:
Ensures new parts and optimization projects are completed by the required deadline, at reasonable cost, and with a robust process
Integrates work with Production, Quality, and Purchasing Departments to ensure a smooth flow of quality products through the factory
Understands all customer requirements
Designs tooling and pattern equipment
Designs any or handling aids as needed
Determines and/or designs gauging
Has ownership and full understanding of PPAP process
Creates documentation to allow mold and core operators to set up and maintain production of high quality parts
Shepherds parts through the first run
Optimizes the manufacturing process
Participates in planning of factory floor layouts to optimize material flow, create manufacturing cells, and reduce cost of manufacturing
Keeps up to date on latest manufacturing techniques to continually optimize and drive cost out of our products
Contributes to a safe and clean work environment
Internal & external vendor Pre-Award technical review prior to job placement to assure all specifications and requirements are understood and source has capability to conform
PPAP/Sample review, internal & external vendor tech support, document review and submission
Internal/External required vendor tech support
Other - i.e., RFQ tech support, and as directed by supervisor
Qualification
Sufficient years of engineering and manufacturing experience in manufacturing methods related to TOCA business to provide leadership of primary job duties with particular emphasize of PPAP requirements
Must be able to communicate in Chinese and English language
